Every room in the Burchfield Homestead Museum is hung with reproductions of the watercolors Charles Burchfield painted with inspiration from his beloved hometown and the raw nature surrounding it.
Just as Charles Burchfield’s wonderful paintings were inspired by nature, our curator Cheryl Mattevi and her troupe of volunteers are inspired by Burchfield’s paintings each autumn as they decorate and display a multitude of Christmas trees in every room of the homestead for appreciative visitors who come from near and far to view them.
