​The Homestead garden celebrates an exuberant area where vegetables and flowers are "mingled together in pleasing confusion", as described by Charlie in a journal entry about June of 1916. We attempt to keep the garden visually appealing as well as alive with visitors from people to birds and bees.


Plan your garden experience!
You are welcome to visit the garden any time from dawn to dusk. Please park in the lot northwest of the house. Enter through the gate by the alley, keeping the gate closed and alley clear unless you are unloading. For group  visits please call 330-717-0092 at least three days in advance.
